LEADERS - Class 6 of the Atlantic Agricultural Leadership Program toured Capitol Hill in Washington, D.C. as part of their North American Study Tour in early April 2005. While in Washington they discussed a variety of issues with officials from the United States Department of Agriculture and the American Farm Bureau and were updated on US-Canada trade issues and the role of the Canadian Embassy by agricultural counsellors and Ambassador McKenna. Their study tour also took them to Ottawa where they met with parliamentarians, AAFC, the Bank of Canada, the Canadian Federation of Agriculture, several commodity organizations and the Canadian Farm Business Management Council.
